What To Expect

What to expect at Renovate Church?

At Renovate Church, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are genuinely excited to meet you. From the time you pull into the parking lot, or engage in one of our online ministry environments, our goal is to make sure Renovate is a place where you and your family belong and can learn about God in a real and relevant way.

We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive at Renovate, or when you connect to an online event, and that’s why we created this page for you. All you have to do from here is come as you are and experience Renovate for yourself.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Location

Renovate Church meets at 10:00 a.m. in the Wilco Workspaces building in the Scottsdale Crossing Technology Center at 1615 Scottsdale Drive, Suite 200D, Leander, Texas, 78641. Our entrance is at the south end cap of the building. When you arrive just look for our Renovate Church signs that will direct you to our building and our Renovate tent directly in front of the main entrance. You'll be greeted by some friendly people at the door who will direct you where to go once inside the building. Our services typically last about 75 minutes and if you can't attend in-person, or do not yet feel comfortable attending, you can watch a live stream of the service on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. CST on our Renovate Church Facebook page.

Where do I go when I arrive?

When you arrive at Renovate Church you’ll see our Renovate tent and welcome signs at the southern corner of the building. Don't worry, you can't miss them. There is plenty of parking in front of the building as well as along the sides and in the back. As you approach the main entrance you’ll be greeted by some friendly Renovate volunteers who will direct you to where our main worship area and children's ministry rooms are located. For your convenience, there is a coffee bar on the right-hand side of the lobby and two sets of restrooms located in the hallway just outside the main worship room. Take your time in the lobby grabbing a snack and a hot coffee and getting to know some of our Renovate community. They'd love to meet you.

If you have young children (ages 1-4 for preschool and K-5 grade for elementary ministry) you'll need to check them in pre-service at our children's check-in kiosk. Signs will direct you to the kiosk, located just through the side exit doors. A friendly volunteer will gather your information and check-in your children. Preschool children can go directly into their classroom located in the Jasper room about halfway down the hallway and marked with colorful signs. Elementary, Ignite middle school students (5-8 grade), and Catalyst high school students go to the main worship room for worship and are then dismissed to their classrooms for programming after worship.

Parents can pick up preschool and elementary students at the conclusion  of the service while Ignite and Catalyst students are dismissed on their own.

At a weekend service, I can expect:

In a typical service, we take about twenty minutes for worship by offering three contemporary, upbeat worship songs that we hope connect you to God's goodness, presence, and faithfulness. We believe worship is an important time each week to center our hearts and lives on Christ and everything He's accomplished for us. We also offer prayer during worship time for anyone who has specific needs. At the conclusion of worship, we offer a thirty-minute Bible-based message where we seek to faithfully teach God's word in a way that is relevant to our everyday lives. We believe God's word is the single best way to know God's heart, nature, character, and purpose and speaks to every area of our lives.

At the conclusion of the service, you'll have the opportunity to meet some of our pastors and leaders in the lobby area on your way out. You don't need to stop but we'd love to say hello and thank you for attending. If you feel comfortable there are Communicate Cards located at our Connection Central booth in the lobby. They take about sixty seconds to fill out and allow us to keep you informed about upcoming Renovate activities.

What do I wear?

Wear whatever you want and are comfortable in. You don’t have to dress up to attend a Renovate service; come as you are.
