Many times, the most misunderstood person in the Trinity and the church is the Holy Spirit. Many people are unsure of who He is and what He wants to do in their lives. In this new series, The God I Never Knew, we’ll investigate who the Holy Spirit is and explain His chief desire is for relationship—to offer us the encouragement, fellowship, guidance, and empowerment of a trusted friend. Moving beyond mere religious traditions and cultural misconceptions we’ll clarify who the Holy Spirit is and what He promises to do in our lives. This series will deepen your understanding of the Holy Spirit and encourage you in the way you interact with Him.
Catalyst Student Ministry
We’re excited to relaunch our student ministry this summer with a new name. Starting on Sunday, June 10th, Renovate will host a Catalyst Student Ministry environment specifically focused on connecting, growing, and equipping our students. This dynamic ministry is for young men and women in 7th-12th grade and will also take place on June 24th, July 15th, July 29th, and August 12th. Students will participate in regular worship on those Sunday mornings and then gather in the U room at MUV for Catalyst. Special fellowship events are also planned throughout the summer.
Special Guest Speaker Michael Hall
Renovate is excited to have Michael Hall, former Director of the Saturate Austin Institute, preaching during our July 8th service. Michael has a passion to see men and women, young adults, students, and children explore the depths and riches of the new life that can be found in Jesus Christ. Michael received his Master of Arts (M.A.) in Theology and Theological Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011 and is a great communicator of God’s word and God’s heart. Michael has been married to Beckie, the love of his life, for forty years and they have three adult children, one daughter and two sons, and six grandchildren. Michael practiced accounting in Shawnee, Oklahoma, for twenty-seven years before going into the ministry. In 2003, the Halls began a new season in life; stepping away from their past roles and beginning a fresh journey in ministry as missionaries and pastors. We know you’re going to enjoy the message Michael will bring!
